When it comes to furniture design and comfort, expect to find all that you want when you get yourself a Croscill. Croscill is one of the most trusted names in the furniture and decorations business, providing comfort and style to millions of homes throughout the years.

Croscill history

Croscill initially concentrated in draperies and became known for a particular style in 1946. The Croscilla style of valance was a refreshing take on the Priscilla valance. The Croscilla was Croscill’s own take on the classic window treatment that featured a bolder and fuller silhouette because of the way the fabric stretched across the whole window and covered the curtain rod completely. This new style easily became one of the classics in window treatment.

The 1960s saw Croscill delve into the boudoir or bedroom. Comforters were the chosen targets of Croscill desginers, who aimed to take the drab and bulky warmers to new and more contemporary heights. What once were overlooked implements for use in the bedroom suddenly became pieces of functional art under the Croscill brand. Drab and plain comforters had been transformed into fabric landscapes of pattern, color and design. Instead of being just boring old beddings, Croscill comforters became the bedroom’s centerpiece.

The 1970s and the 1980s proved to be Croscill’s most prolific years. By this time, the company has branched out to different avenues of design and style. Lamps, lampshades, table runners, and wallpapers to name a few were the other products that Croscill set their designing chops on. Croscill focused on even the minutest details in made these implements with such style that further propelled their popularity further up. Croscill set an example in furniture design and engineering that eventually became the benchmark in the industry.

Croscill design ethics

Croscill desginers have employed contemporary designs and techniques in making fixtures and furnishings for the famed brand name. Though the approach is modernistic in that it accounts for the comfort and function the style is fluid, ranging from traditional designs to modern and minimalist.

Notable Croscill range and collections

Drapery

Croscill first made waves in the interior design industry by coming up with new and innovative takes on window treatment. Aside from the Croscilla, Croscill also made style such as the Blouson Valance, the Antique Satin drapery program and the mix and match of tiered kitchen curtains.

Bedding

Croscill designers have made the bedroom a much more livable space with their take on beddings. The Arsenic and Lace patterned comforters became such great hits that eventually had every homeowner decorate their bedroom around the beddings.

Wondering if there is posibility that I coould replace a set of sheets which matched and were included in comforter set I bought about 2-3 years ago? Sheets were white background with palm leaves and only information I have is number on them RN 21857 and 100% CottonCotonalGodon King/Rey. I have them in our master bedroom in our Florida house and along with the matching valances. Unfortunately, our dog got angry for use leaving him, and ripped into the top sheet and fitted sheet such that they are not usable I love the set and hope to replace the matching sheets, if possible. Please advise if you happen to have in clearance or whatever?
Thanks, Vi Lee (239 395 2777) 1719 Serenity Ln Sanibel FL 33957. Will gladly pay, of course.

I am trying to find the Croscill Botanica design King size Comforter. I purchased this design at JC Penney’s some time ago but they have discontinued that design. Is it still being made and can I still get one? I will await your reply. Thank you very much.

I am looking for curtains to match my Croscill bedding set, but I do not have the pattern name. The pattern came out about the same time as Chambord (5 years?). The background is tan/khaki with large white & mauve/plum roses with olive leaves scattered all over. Then, on top of that, in cream, are phrases stitched all over the comforter.

Any help in identifiying the pattern would be much appreciated.

I wasn’t a big fan of ST JAMES {I loved the detailed on it that’s why I bought it} until I purchased it back in 03 or 04 . Maybe because I didn’t know there was a big collection. My bed set include comforter, 2 pillow shams and bedskirt. Around 05 I got my curtains, valance and 2 deco pillow shams. Then came the addiction LOL! I came across the bathroom set. Does anyone have or know where I can find the bathroom set for ST JAMES? I was looking for it last year came across it on EBAY but I didn’t have an ebay acct so I couldn’t get it. Now that I do I can’t find it :(

Mrs Maurice and Lillian I found close to detail info RN21857 aka Grand Bahama, Isle of Palm leaf and Brazil. If your looking for the stores try searching for the product name then contact them for more info.

KLMurray..I haven’t seen the KING SZ ST JAMES but Queen sz is available. The website is bedandbathoutlet.com is where I found the Queen sz. I’m still trying to look for ST JAMES fabric in case I can’t find it. Couple of months back I found the fabric was kinda expensive per yard. I know it won’t be the collection itself but hey its close to it right. Maybe you can try looking for it. Get someone or yourself to do it.

Margaret I couldn’t find anything close to it. Try searching it on croscill.com or rhfashions maybe look for the fabric and contact them.

Linda Orchids & Narcissus is what its called if its the one your looking for. I found them on bedandbathoutlet.com

Julie I hope this helps. I found a few called Beaujolais, Jordan King, CASSIS/Chambord and BORDEAUX/Chambord.

Hope I help everyone! Your welcome!
Any info on ST JAMES..PLEASE let me know!
