Office chairs that are made of leather and have high backs are usually reserved for executives. Staff members sometimes have to settle with basic office chairs, with mid-level backs, and simple upholstery.

1. It is always better to select office chairs that have swivel legs. These swivel legs allow better and less-contortionist access to phones, files and what-have-yous.

2. Adjustable features are musts when selecting office chairs. Adjustability often connotes comfort. He more you can “personalize” the chair to suit your body’s height, posture and other preferences, the better it is for you.

3. Comfort is also an important consideration when picking out office chairs. When at the store, try to sit on the chairs to get a feel of it. The upholstery should not feel warm on the back. Likewise, the material should work well with moisture (sweating, etc). The cushioning should be just right – not too little, and not overstuffed.
