The patio is an area of the house that lets homeowners entertain or receive visitors in an outdoor setting. Here, homeowners can host cookouts, picnics, or even just a family lunch or dinner. The patio is also an area where one can just hang out and relax. And what better way to comfortably do all those things than to sit down on patio chairs and seats?

Adirondack patio chairs
Adirondack patio chairs are characterized by their long and wide armrests and broad straight backs. The long and narrow armrests can be used as surfaces where food and beverage can be put on. These armrests can also be used to seat small children as long as an adult is nearby.
Chaise lounges as patio chairs
Chaise lounges can also be found in patios and porches. This type of patio seats are just perfect for chilling out because of its long seat that can support the legs. Chaise lounges can also be found along pool and beach sides, used by people who want to catch the sun’s rays, relax, and just people watch. Most chaise lounges used at the patio are made of wood, plastic, and even metal.
Dining patio chairs
The patio is also a good place to host a barbecue with friends or to just dine al fresco. People who entertain and serve food at the patio should consider getting patio dining sets with enough patio dining chairs. Dining patio chairs can be made out of wood, aluminum, wrought iron, or wicker.
Gliders as patio chairs
Gliders are special types of patio chairs that can seat more than one occupant. This type of patio chairs are called gliders because of the seat that glides back and forth on a rocker base. This can be an alternative to the porch swing that is suspended from the ceiling. Gliders are like multi-seat rockers that can be used to lull babies and young children to sleep, or adults to relax.

Wooden patio chairs are made out of wood such as teak, cypress, cedar, and other types of wood that can withstand certain or changing conditions. Wooden chairs, however, can still be susceptible to insects.
Wicker patio chairs are lighter than those made of wood but are more susceptible to wear and tear.
Metals such as aluminum and wrought iron are also used in making patio chairs. Aluminum metal chairs are sturdy but lightweight while those made out of wrought iron are hardy but heavy.
